He pointed out that the company had previously suffered from two major problems, the first lack of adequate supply of electricity and the second lack of scrap material operating for the smelting plant, but this was addressed by the concerned authorities where the share of the company has been increased by scrap secured by the General Organization for Metals, which reflected The increase in the amount of electricity, which contributed to the restoration of the morning shift after it was confined to the night period and this also led to an increase in production quantities.

Tanb pointed out that the company's production increased from 2000 tons per month two years ago to 5500 tons currently and during the current year the operation of Al-Basel Iron Bars Factory, which reflected an increase in profits and dispensed with import and provision of foreign exchange to the country in light of the unfair economic blockade imposed on the country, pointing out that The company produces several varieties, the most important of which is pellet iron, high tensile and twisted steel medium resistance and is supplied to companies working in the field of rolling and other sectors.

He pointed out that there are complementary and supportive sections for the production process in the company, the most important of which is the oxygen plant which provides the oxygen required for the operation and its production capacity is 2500 cubic meters per hour and produces pure oxygen for industrial materials and medical uses.

He pointed out that Hama Steel Company is working within a feasible economic policy slogan to increase production to the maximum extent and reduce costs to the lowest level and dispense with imports through the application of effective guidance systems and programs, pointing out that during the first half of this year, the application of hydraulic control system, which contributed to the provision Great for electric power carriers, great efficiency in performance and work in addition to saving in consumption of imported coal electrodes with high cost.

For his part, the director of production at the company, Engineer Abdul Karim Abdullah that the company's sales increased significantly during the current year compared to previous years, where sales amounted to the end of August last 9 billion and 362 million pounds, indicating that sales included 1765 tons of iron and 29864 tons of Billet and 52 tons of steel forgings.

He pointed out that the company marketed its production of pellet, which is involved in the manufacture of iron bars through private rolling companies in accordance with the decisions of the Administrative Committee and the Pricing Committee and according to the date and sequence of subscription on the material, pointing out that the price per ton of pellet is subject to continuous changes commensurate with the cost.

It is noteworthy that the General Company for Steel and Steel Products in Hama started this year to produce alloys and put them in the local market to compensate for imported metals with high cost.
