In the presence of Engineer Mohammad Maan Zain Al-Abidin Jathba, Minister of Industry and Eng. Faris Al-Shihabi, Chairman of Aleppo Chamber of Industry, held a meeting today at the headquarters of the Chamber of Industry.

During the meeting, the industrialists renewed the problem of imposing financial fees on industrialists working in the chocolate industry under the name / violation of the consumer spending fee of 50,000 Syrian pounds per month for 2016 and beyond, although most of these industrialists are affected and their factories are totally and partially destroyed, in addition to imposing a tax. 3% of all locally produced foodstuffs in which cocoa is manufactured, although the raw materials involved in the production process are systematically imported and customs duties are collected, demanding the abolition of these financial taxes as they are illogical in recognition of the circumstances. Industrialists and suffered from heavy losses due to terrorism.

Attendees also stressed the need to combat smuggling in all its forms and expand the process of export subsidies and prevent some abusive and unacceptable behavior by the financial committees charged with imposing taxes and tax information.

He pointed out that the Ministry is keen to address all the problems suffered by the industrial sector and encourage industry and provide incentives for them and provide the appropriate production and marketing infrastructure and amend the legislation and laws to cope with the requirements of the current and future stage, pointing out that all the industrialists will be the focus of attention and follow-up and will not be silent about Any personal act of an abusive employee.

He pointed out that the industrialists continue to work and production despite all the difficulties and challenges, pointing out that most of the recommendations of the Third Industrial Conference on the financial and banking side have not been implemented, although they are valid and feasible recommendations and will be asked and the reason for their implementation during the fourth industrial conference to be held next month.
