The Economic Committee of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers approved the proposal of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade
The Economic Committee at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers approved the proposal of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade to consider the manufacture of batteries and inverters as one of the substitution industries for import substitutes. In this context, the Committee instructed the Ministry to implement several proposals related to imports related to the battery industry. Aleppo batteries and allocate them for 575 million pounds within the ambulance plan, and the launch of a program to support interest rates for loans necessary for the restoration and operation of stalled private sector factories and the establishment of new ones.
With regard to the inverters industry, the committee recommended to study the possibility of starting the inverters factories as they are important tools for the production of renewable energies in cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and the Ministries of Electricity and Industry, the Center for Studies and Scientific Research and the Energy Research Center. To own the land necessary for the establishment of these factories within the industrial cities, and to reduce customs duties on imports of raw materials for the manufacture of inverters, and to tighten the standard specifications for imported production requirements in order to Coordination quality requirements.
