The Ministry of Industry has prepared a memorandum containing the most important legislation, decisions and procedures issued to support and mobilize the national industry, in an effort to transform the industry into income-generating sectors by investing available resources efficiently, stimulating production and economic growth, and most importantly, productive integration and increasing production links in order to maximize value added.

The ministry stressed in its memorandum that there are approved industrial policies that the ministry is working on during the current stage, is the need to strengthen industrial production to increase the presence in the markets, meet the need of the local market, and export surplus, and most importantly support industrialists to rehabilitate their facilities and take off and production. The Ministry is working to remove all obstacles and difficulties that hinder this, in coordination with the relevant authorities to increase the economic rentals of companies, which is reflected in the increase of their effective contribution to the GDP.

The ministry pointed out that a number of investment projects are being worked on, the most important of which is the completion of the rehabilitation of two cement mills in the cement establishment, with a production line for cigarettes in the coastal area, and a project for the production of renewable energies, and another for the mobilization of natural water from the spring unit in Tartous and from Al-Khafsa area in Aleppo. To establish a soft yeast production project from Tal Salhab Sugar Company, the most important is the establishment of a factory for the production of human medicines belonging to TAMICO Company, in addition to the completion of the flute glass project in Damascus Glass Company.
