The Supreme Council for Economic and Social Planning started yesterday to discuss the state budget for 2020, with an initial approval of 4000 billion Syrian pounds, an increase of 118 billion pounds for the current year (2019), a rate of more than 3%.
The allocations of the current budget in the next year amounted to 2700 billion pounds, and investment 1300 billion pounds, and provides the budget more than 83 thousand jobs, has also been allocated 40 billion pounds to support the agricultural sector and industrial production, and the value of social support 373 billion distributed on flour and agricultural production Oil reserves and the National Fund for Social Aid, have been allocated a reserve to meet any variables worth more than 700 billion pounds, as well as allocated 50 billion pounds for reconstruction, and 25 billion pounds to pay debts of the public sector for social insurance.
Prime Minister Imad Khamis stressed that the state budget plan for 2020 has been developed with interest and qualitative development to employ it in the right way, compared to last year, as a careful review of the budget of 2019 was carried out to be a noticeable development in the budget next year, and the adoption of a more qualitative vision in the face of any New variables imposed by the coming stages, in parallel with the provision of citizens' requirements of oil derivatives, medicine and food and the allocation of mass amounts necessary to pay the salaries of workers in public institutions.
